A tiger on the prowl
In 2010, Dr. Jim Galvin, a small-animal veterinarian, decided to do something exciting with his retirement: he bought 125 acres and began work opening Midwest Big Cat Care, a tiger sanctuary in rural southeast Ohio. It has since been shut down due to government regulations following the 2011 mass exotic animal escape in Zanesville, Ohio.
